How tournaments work
Pawn Realm tournaments are scheduled events. Players register before the start, confirm that they are present, then play automatically created boards until the event is complete.
Five minutes before start, registered players see an on-screen confirmation. Click I am here so other players know you are ready. Missing the prompt will not remove you automatically.
When each round starts, Pawn Realm creates the pairings and opens the player's board on screen automatically. The same happens again for every following round.
Wins, draws, losses, byes, and standings are tracked automatically. Tied standings are ordered by Buchholz, then Sonneborn-Berger, then wins. Swiss events use score groups and tie-breaks, round robins use the final table, and knockouts advance winners through the bracket.
